THE NORTHERN NJ COMMUNITY FOUNDATION’S ARTSBERGEN ANNOUNCES A CALL FOR ARTISTS

ArtsBergen Seeks 14 Artists of Any Discipline to Share Their Work for “The Daily Arts Dose” Social Media Campaign

Submission Deadline: WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2020

The Northern NJ Community Foundation’s ArtsBergen initiative is launching its second round of a social media campaign called “The Daily Arts Dose”. The campaign will last two weeks, and involves ArtsBergen sharing one artist’s work per day, as the “daily arts dose”.

INTRODUCTION
The arts have the capacity to uplift and inspire hope and joy. During this time of social distancing, the Foundation wants to engage local artists to help alleviate some of the disconnection and isolation people may be experiencing, and inject a “healthy dose” of creativity into their lives.

This is an opportunity for artists of all disciplines to share a sample of their work to the broader community on social media. Each artist’s work will be posted on the  ArtsBergen Connects + Creates Facebook group page and the NNJCF/ArtsBergen Instagram page for 3 days. The artist with the post that receives the highest number of likes combined from both platforms during that time will be awarded a cash prize.

THEME
“2020 Holistay/Staycation: Taking a Trip Through Art”. With your art, take the viewer away on a holistay/staycation to another place or novel environment. It can be a real place - local or faraway – an imaginary place/world, or even a specific state of mind. All visual art works; theater, music, or dance performances; comedy skits; mini-instructional/how-tos; film/video clips, and others are welcome. Thinking out of the box is encouraged.

CRITERIA
Artwork must be original
Format can either be a photo or a video (see parameters below)
No copyrighted images, vulgarity, nudity, advertising, political statements, profanity, or violence

COMPENSATION
The post of each selected submission will include the artist’s name, name of work, and website/brief promotional information. The artist who receives the highest number of likes on both platforms combined by the end of three days will be awarded $250.00.
